Fashion Auction

Around thirty gorgeous females all connected to the organizers in some way, arrived at Jane’s beautiful home to a glass of ‘fizz’, nibbles, rails of clothes and a wonderful welcoming atmosphere. What more could us girls need or in fact, want!

Everyone was given the auction list and directed to look at the items available and also guided to peruse other irresistible garments to buy. The auction wasn’t just about clothes, there was also a great selection of handbags, accessories, beauty/hair treatments, cookery course, cases of wine and many more appealing items – all of which were donated. Karen did an excellent job in cajoling the ladies to up their bids on the 25 items.

The level of enthusiasm and generosity was incredible and the evening raised an enormous total of £3,200 – not bad for a few hours of fun and enjoyment! But of course it wasn’t just the work on the night –  Jane, Karen and Mo had put in a lot of time, thought and attention to detail, to make it such a success for several weeks leading up to the evening. I can’t thank you enough! There were lots of little helpers to thank too – Ryan would have been so proud of all of you.

It was an honour to attend and my sincere thanks go to ALL the donors that contributed to the night, and of course to all the kind, supportive and generous friends who attended the event.

If anyone else would like to organize a similar event for Ryan’s Appeal, please let me know. It’s a great way to catch up with girl friends, clear out the bulging wardrobes and raise lots of money!
