What a night indeed!

The evening started off in the sunshine with the Prep School match between Clifton College and King’s Hall. always such a heartwarming match with eager faces and enthusiasm in abundance. Thank you for your participation in this event and for listening to Ryan’s story.

The evening continued with a fantastic selection of matches between Clifton and College and Millfield, with the U14, U15  and U16 Teams enjoying being part of this event. The first XV match followed and did not disappoint. A superb performance from the Millfield team set the pace and had Clifton chasing for most of the game. Opportunities for Clifton to get into the Millfield half were limited but the boys were efficient and always came away with a score.

A game of tension, pressure and adversity meant all the Clifton players had to dig deep to find the energy to create the final play. It was the 70th minute and Clifton still trialled, movements of brilliant athleticism did enough for the final play to create an opportunity and the boys finished with a truly magical score of 43-41. Why not take a look for yourself on YouTube with the highest-watched match of the season on NextGen XV with 19,000 views!

The evening was full of excitement and another outstanding spectacle of sport and all in memory of Ryan Bresnahan.

A huge thank you to all the schools, players, teachers, spectators, volunteers, Clifton Rugby Club, NextGenXV, Andy & Diana Sayner and so many people behind the scenes who continually make this event such a special occasion. We seriously couldn’t do it without you. See you next year!
