Ryan’s Rugby Festival Thursday 22nd September 2022

Ryan’s Rugby Annual Festival returns on Thursday 22nd September 22. The Prep School fixture kicks off the event at 5:45pm, with the U14, U15 and U16 playing alongside. Clifton College 1st XV will play Kirkham Grammar School (KGS) at 7:15pm for The Ryan Bresnahan Cup. We’d love to see you at Clifton Rugby Club to welcome and support all teams taking place in this fantastic evening of rugby – especially KGS who will be tackling a long journey! The atmosphere is always incredible – especially in the stand, so arrive early to get your seat and enjoy the evening. There’s the usual raffle and BBQ – please bring some cash if you can!

This annual event commenced the year Ryan died in 2010. It’s gone from strength to strength with overwhelming support from all the opponents to Clifton College over the years. Kirkham Grammar School will not disappoint this year if the warm welcome that Michelle Bresnahan received is anything to go by. Michelle delivered School assembly to share Ryan’s ‘next chapter’ and the fixture’s importance. They are looking forward to adding their school to the list below. We wish them a safe journey.
