Millfield have elected ‘a LIFE for a CURE’ for one of the schools named charities for 2011/2012. £700 has already been donated from hosting the IAPS Hockey Final in March 2011 and other fundraising within the school.
A Christmas Fair was held in November 2011 at Charlton House, with Ryan’s Appeal nominated as one of the two charities, to benefit from the event. It really was a special evening, with Black Champagne, canapés and music by Edwards Leaker’s Trio, to accompany the very well selected stallholders. Thanks go out to Jane Bennett and her wonderful fundraising team, for making my Mum and I, so welcome and creating such a festive atmosphere.
In addition, Jo Morgan- Hughes hopes to organise a hockey shoot out with 3 old prep school pupils who are now in the GB hockey team for the London Olympics. This may have to be arranged after the Games in the summer – but we will keep you posted!
